Get to the Ken Club early on Friday

Friday night's show at the Ken Club starts off with a really solid Seattle band called The Hands (Full disclosure: the frontman is a friend of a friend ... and that friend designed the poster for the band that's been hanging up by the jukebox in the Ken Club. I didn't have to disclose the last part; I just wanted to plug her gig-poster-designing abilities).

One of their general posters is below.

The band has been playing a bunch around Seattle and became a favorite of the DJs at KEXP, the indie radio station up there and generally one of the best radio stations in the country. They booked themselves a little tour that comes to our hamlet. Like I said, solid, straightforward rock. Check them out.
